Our standards
Expert scores, player reviews and the rules themselves: how we weigh them.
When players and critics disagree
Roxy Moxy is a good example of why we read both. Review sites scored it 3.8 to 4.0 out of 5, held back by a slots-only lobby and plain design. Players on Trustpilot give it 4.4 from 385 reviews, mostly for the games, the bonuses and support. We weigh the rules first, then real payout reports, then expert opinion, which put it at 4.1 overall.
What we always check
- The sweepstakes sponsor named in the rules, and the mail-in address
- Welcome bonus, first purchase and the SC per dollar in standard bundles
- Playthrough on free and purchased coins, and any cap on bonus winnings
- Redemption minimum, methods, speed and daily limits
- Excluded states and the age limit
- Player complaints: what they are about, and whether the casino resolves them
Sources
The casino's own rules and promotions pages, our full Roxy Moxy write-up, SweepsKings, SweepsCasinos.US, Trustpilot, and player threads on the SweepsKings and SweepsCasinos.US forums. Where they disagree, as they do on the mail-in value, we show both numbers.
What we will not do
Publish a promo code that does not exist, hide a weakness because a casino pays us, or keep listing a casino after its payout complaints stop being answered.
